Our speaker at our January 22nd meeting
, Sean Schuur, presented information on the organization Honor Flight. Honor Flight’s Mission Statement is: “Our Mission is to honor all of America’s veterans by taking them to Washington, D.C. on their “Tour of Honor” as our guest. Once there, they can visit and reflect at their memorials which have been built to honor their service.” Sean shared his experience as a “Guardian”, which serves as an escort that assists a veteran on their Tour of Honor. There were some very funny moments, and some very heartfelt moments that will have a lasting impact on Sean. He suggested that volunteering to be a Guardian, is really an opportunity to serve our country and quite an honor. Great program and thank you Sean for sharing.
