Jeff consults on emergency and disaster planning for municipalities and educational institutions.   

Jeff represents the public-at-large as a board member of the San Luis Obispo County Fire Safe Council.  He is member of US Forest Service Incident Management Teams 15.  Has been a member of USFS and CAL Fire IMTs for 29 years. Currently qualified as a Planning Section Chief and Liaison Officer.

 

Jeff began  his career in 1978 as a reserve firefighter with the San Luis Obispo FD.  In 1979, he moved to the Morro Bay FD. He promoted through the ranks and was appointed Fire Chief in 1991.  In 2004 he was hired by the Santa Maria FD. He served as a Battalion Chief, Deputy Chief, and Fire Chief.  Retired in 2012.  Jeff has responded to many major fires throughout CA, OR and WA.  Also has been assigned to national non-fire incidents including Hurricanes Francis, Ivan & Jeanne (Florida 2004) and Katrina & Rita (Louisiana 2005).

 

Jeff holds an AS Degree, Fire Technology Allan Hancock College and BS Degree, Occupational Studies - Cal State Long Beach.

 

Jeff is a member of the RC Morro Bay (since 1996).  Club President 2000-01 and 2020-21.  Jeff is a seven-time Paul Harris Fellow.

 

           Jeff lives in Atascadero with his wife June Krystoff-Jones.
