Yesterday's Meeting

Ladies and Gentlemen –
 
We had a great meeting yesterday.  Charlotte Alexander, the new Executive Director of the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society talked about animal rescue, the importance of spay and neuter, as well as other services the facility provides.
 
In other news:
 
  1. If you did not attend the meeting, please let Judy know if you (and perhaps a guest) plan to attend the Paul Harris dinner on May 13 and/or the Public Service Awards dinner on May 20.  Please send her an e-mail at judynipomo@aol.com.   These are both Wednesdays, and we will be dark those mornings.
  2. Al Daurio will announce the dates that the third grade reader books will be distributed at local elementary schools.
  3. Everyone is expected to support the golf tournament on May 8.
  4. Scholarships will be presented at the June 10 meeting.
  5. President Step down to be on June 14 at 1:00 PM at Socorro’s
  6. May Board of Directors meeting will be on May 18 at 5:30 at Socorro’s
  7. District Governor Step Down and Club awards event to be at the Radisson in Santa Maria on June 27 and 11:30 AM.
