Ladies and Gentlemen –

Well, we certainly had a lively meeting this morning!  Some highlights include:

  1. Alice Ricker has made a contribution to the Rotary Foundation that will enable her to become a Paul Harris Fellow.  We will recognize her officially when we receive the fellowship certificate and pin.  Thanks to Alice!
  2. The date for the beach cleanup is suspended until we can determine an appropriate date and time.
  3. Let Judy know if you would like to attend the Cal Poly Women’s basketball game benefitting Polio Plus.  It is January 17, reception at 3:00 PM and game at 4:00 PM.
  4. Dick Hillery has the Fine Free Coffee Mug for January.  Thanks to Dick for a great bid!
  5. The 2nd Annual Polio Plus Poker Run will be on Sunday, February 15, 2015.  Registration is from 9 – 10 AM at the Dana Adobe.  Please contact Mike Streator or Cees Dobbe for information.
  6. Bowling with Interact is still scheduled for Friday, February 20, 2015.  See Cathy Cachu for details.
  7. Ken Whittle gave us an update on the great support we are getting for the construction of the Paul Teixeira Memorial Gazebo in the Park.  Ken is doing a great job in seeing this project through.
  8. Ken Whittle also indicated how impressed he was with the wonderful support of members and guests who planted trees in the park on New Year’s Day.  Thanks to all who participated.
  9. Thanks to all to came early and stayed after to help set up and take down the room.
  10. Finally, the Program Chair’s worst nightmares were fulfilled when the speaker didn’t make it.  Thanks very much to George DuBois for filling in!

AND, everyone got to hear your President recite the Four-Way Test (without looking!)

YIRS!
