Cees Hobbs announced that the Blood Drive that had to switch locations has been completely booked. 44 people signed up.
Guest speaker Patty Carpenter gave a presentation on the "BIG BROTHERS AND SISTERS" program in SLO county.
The program has been operating for 25 years.
Their Mission Statement:
Our mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
We partner with parents/guardians, volunteers and others in the community and hold ourselves accountable for each child in our program achieving:
*Higher aspirations, greater confidence and better relationships*
*Avoidance of risky behaviors*

Patty explained the two programs (1) school based and (2) community based.
A high light was Jackie Walls sharing her inspirational story as a Big Sister starting in Orange County in 1972 and the positive effect it had not only on her "little" but also herself.
Little did she know it would be a life long relationship.
