Yesterday's Meeting

Ladies and Gentlemen –
 
My last time presiding over Rotary Club of Nipomo meetings was yesterday.  Thanks to all who have helped throughout the year in setting up for the meetings, as well as cleaning up after the meetings.
 
Some meeting highlights include:
 
  1. The Four Way Test Essay contest winners from the High Schools presented their essays.  Our first place winner was also the District 5240 Third Place winner – great job!  The Middle School winners will present next week.
  2. Odell Lee talked about Corporate Intelligence (in contrast to Corporate Espionage, which is mostly illegal).  Corporate intelligence is an enhancement to our economic system because it promotes competition.
  3. Incoming President Richard Dale’s Presidential Retreat will be at his house on June 13 at 11:00 AM.
  4. President Jim Anderson’s Step Down will be at Socorro Simons’ barn on June 14 at 1:00 PM.
  5. The next board meeting will be a joint meeting between the outgoing board and the incoming board.  It will be at Socorro Simons’ barn on June 18 at 5:30 PM.
  6. District Governor Loretta’s Step Down and Club Awards Luncheon will be at the Radisson in Santa Maria on June 27 at 11:30 AM.  Please sign up on the District Website.
