Today's Meeting

Ladies and Gentlemen –
 
Today, we had very interesting speaker, Sandra Duerr, Editor of the San Luis Obispo Tribune.  The members sitting with her for breakfast discovered that four out of five of us were paper boys in our youth.  Don’t see many of them anymore.
 
It was a joyous meeting because we did one of the most important things a Rotary Club can do – induct a new member.  Mary Mylan, who was proposed by Judy Henbury was inducted into our club.  She is a former member of the Rotary Club of Grover Beach.  We welcome Mary!

  1. Golf meeting next Monday evening, April 27 at 5:30 at Socorro’s barn.
  2. Please get tee sponsors and tee sponsor payments to Peggy
  3. Please attend the Parks Commission meeting Thursday, April 23 at 6:00 PM in the Board of Supervisors Chambers in San Luis Obispo to support funding for the bandstand/gazebo in Nipomo Regional Park
  4. Scholarship winners to be presented by Harry at the June 10 meeting
  5. May 13 at 5:30 is the Paul Harris Awards Dinner – we will be dark that morning
  6. May 20 at 5:30 is the Public Safety Awards Dinner – we will be dark that morning
  7. Your President’s Step Down will be on Flag Day, Sunday, June 14 at 1:00 PM at Socorro’s Barn
  8. District Governor Loretta’s Step Down and Club Awards event will be on June 27 at the Radisson
