Good day Ladies and Gents,

I hope everyone had a great meeting this morning!! Here are the Great experiences from the meeting:

  1. We learned about different ways in getting your ‘wings’ in Rotary, for our Minutes of Rotary.

  1. We featured one great member: Past President-Harry Walls, as he shared some of his great adventures with his wife in the lovely town of Pahrump! He also shared the different business experiences with owning a laundry mat, working in the probation department, and the different places he has lived throughout the country.  A lot of great stories to really get to know Harry more!!

***One suggestion!  Please allow for our featured members and guest speakers to have the floor in speaking without interruption.  This is their time to shine and share with us their life story.  I whole heartedly believe it is a privilege to hear everyone’s story!

  1. The Social Media Minutes were about associating links with posts!  Really great tips and also ways to look up some of our speakers on LinkedIn and other platforms.

  1. We had some great Brags for Serving Humanity!  Some great accomplishments, anniversaries, and new family additions!  Also, the great contributions from our Foundation to the community!  $500 to Nipomo HS for the Robotics program, $200 to Dorothea Lange 4th graders, $500 to Dana Elementary Playground Equipment, $1500 donated to Dana Adobe Nipomo Amigos! Also, we established a $7000 amount for Scholarships to be awarded within our community!!!  Keep in mind, if you know of an organization that needs our help, have them send in a request!!!

  1. Club Announcements/Upcoming events-
  • Annual Kids Christmas Party December 21st (Our morning meeting at BLACKLAKE!!!!)
  • We are dark December 28th (WEEK OFF to recover from Xmas and get ready for New Year’s!)

  1. Then we had Amanda Ricker share with us the experience of training a K-9 Dog and being a Canine Handler with the Santa Maria Police Department.  The demonstration was awesome! (Along with her introduction music, coming out to the ‘Imperial March’ theme music from Star Wars)

Next week, make sure you have RSVP’d, because Santa is coming in on his sleigh for all of the young relatives of our Rotarians!!

Have a Holly Jolly Week!!!!!

SERVICE ABOVE SELF!!!!
